I hear from different sources that they're finally under control, but I don't like the news much anymore, so I don't watch it...
I was here in Colorado for the Hayman Fire, which was the biggest wildfire in Colorado history and burned about 180,000 something acres, so I know what they're going through. I hear this California one's significantly bigger (depending on what source you go to); 375,000 acres, I hear. _________________

I didn't get any sort of information on what started it, which probably means that they don't know anything about that facet of the story. I'm sure we'll be getting details on that later on next week or so. Wanna start an "info bet"?
Fires also mess with the archeological record, so there's another bad side. Go ahead, post another good side and we can start a back-and-forth. _________________

How likely do you think 1 of the nine dead is a sick mass rapist?
Okay, this conversation is turning morbid. Time to stop the back and forth....
So yeah, fire. It burns. Actually, I find it a little disturbing that some people refuse to leave their properties even if they're in a wildfire's path. A house can be a powerful symbol of security, and when it's threatened, some people don't think they can be safer anywhere else. _________________

I hope it rains in California.
Me too....
VRap: Why are you apologizing for everything? You've apologized in at least five different threads. Are you just on your toes because CJ is being so hard on you? _________________
no...actually it's normal for me. I always end up saying I'm sorry for random stuf I didn't even do. I even say it when my parents would say something like "it's cold outside." Just force of habit I guess. _________________
