OK...I'm not gonna mention who but now since Kagome's light is in the jewel, I'm getting teased by some who are going "you were wrong about it being Kikyou, Vrap"

What? The light that was Kikyou's was in teh jewel...but then it left like 5 chapters ago and went into Kohaku. just because a new light is Kagome's does not mean teh former light was Kagome's also. Must I remind people that Naraku, Kagome, Kohaku, Miroku, Inuyasha, etc ALL stated that the previous light in the jewel was Kikyou? Not to mention that it was there when kagome's powers were sealed and teh new one only appeared when Sesshy unsealed them.
it's like if I put an apple on a pedistle, then it falls over and i put an orange there. You can't go and claim it was always an orange or that the first object was an orange too. A new object does not negate the previous from ever happening. _________________

Who are "people"?
You can't blame some for assuming the light is the same as before because the wording is... strange like that. I don't know if it's a translation deal or what, but when I saw the word "returned" all throughout the chapter, it was really confusing to me too, because "returned" always implies to me that it's the same thing, but they continued to say Kagome's light instead of Kikyou's. Of course, I'm also not arguing that it was never Kikyou's light in the jewel either... I suppose the word is really supposed to describe the presence of a light, while leaving out the details as to whose it was altogether.
I don't know. Don't get too worked up over it VRap. We're just all trying to get it, since this story makes no sense. _________________
want me to just post links to the topics? Person is CJ by the way. She is using absolutly NO LOGIC to her theory. The previous light went into Kohaku to revive him, then everyone admitted it was Kikyou's trap and said teh rest is up to them now.
But she insists that the previous light that revived Kohaku and the new one are the same light and it's from kagome. And she's yelling at me for "grasping at straws." If the light was from Kagome, then that means there should be no more light at all since it went into Kohaku. it must be a 2nd light source (one that revived Kohaku, and teh current one).
And when everyone in the freaking manga confirms it is Kikyou's trap for Naraku and the plot arc then ends...it's a done deal. Plot arc is over; Kikyou's light ain't coming back so the deal is FINAL. Plot arc ended, no more plot twists for that arc. It ended. Everything confirmed in that arc is final. _________________
OK....let's just calmly go and simplify this whole light jewel incident.
I'll starts.
1: we have light in jewel
2: everyone in the manga says it's a trap from Kikyou
3: light goes away and goes into Kohaku.
- This means no more light and Kohaku revived
4: Kagome says now the rest is UP TO US.
- meaning she confirms again that teh light was not her.
-characters even state that Kikyou decided to save Kohaku instead of defeating naraku with her trap
5: jewel is 100% dark and plot arc of light ends.
-thus meaning that current light in jewel plot is over
6: light appears in jewel again, this time 100% confirmed to be kagome
- at the very least, this means there are 2 different sources of light
- one everyone confirmed to be Kikyou's trap; 2nd being kagome's powers
Now how exactly does all this equate to the first light being kagome? _________________

It doesn't actually, and there's one more thing I would like to add to that, if anything.... Kagome's powers were sealed all throughout that arc. If her powers were sealed, I don't see how it could have been her light all along. How she did it now, though, confuses me just a little.... _________________

but Takahashi isn't the one saying it was Kagome all along....that would be CJ. And it was only like 10 chapters ago that Kohaku died again and was revived. _________________
Like I said. "Hashi Physics" are a complete mystery to the average person. Only Rumiko herself can be able to find out for teh lols. And even then...it does not make any sense to her either...
So basically...what I'm trying to say here is that nobody will know about "Kagome's light" or some wierd stuff like that. It's infinitly better to shut up and read the damn story for what it's worth. _________________

It's no problem VRap. I suppose a guy's gotta vent sometime. And you bring up a very valid topic anyhow; Kagome/Kikyou/both? They ARE basically two shades of the same soul, though different people. It could be said that the powers that brought the light into the jewel are from the same source, in that way....
But it's still a little irritating to say the light "returned" if this one isn't Kikyou's.
