let's think about it. Byakuya is still alive. He has to die before Naraku so either the group is forced to retreat or Naraku gets wounded and escapes again (by jewel, group, whoever) like always. I don't think this is teh very last arc before the "after Naraku is dead" conclusion stuff. _________________

By what logic are you subscribing to assume that Byakuya has to be dead before Naraku dies? Let's not forget, this manga has no definite rules regarding reincarnation, let alone INCARNATION and death.
I disagree. The previews at the end of the chapter that began this arc said the final battle had begun. Call me naive, but I believe them. Besides, it's a lot better than trying to read into plotlines that don't make sense half the time. _________________
Oh this is the end, it has to be. It may take a whole year and however many volumes, but every player is on the stage...it has to be the end. _________________ It's just four more miles. Everybody smile!
