VRap, CHILL. I met this guy at Manga Helpers. He's cool.
This chapter takes a step closer to Kohaku's life. Being my new favorite character, I would rather not see him go, but I don't think there's much of a possibility of him living at this point. _________________
oh...OK. I just get a bit worried when I hear the name starks.
Anyways....we also got a little preview of the chapter. Guess who gets mentioned again?
If you havn't figured it out by then....chances are she'll be referenced a hundred times in a few weeks and it seems like RT is gonna try and cheap around the super light in jewel thing by our random enemy of the month. She really can't make up her mind with this stuff. I wuldn't be surprised if she completly buries Kikyou for good....only to randomly bring her back to life again. It's just getting annoying now. _________________

Patches translated this one, just as VRap said:
"While he is asleep, the corrupted power of the shard forces Kohaku to relive the events of the day where he killed his father and companions. Magatsuhi figures that even if he does wake up, his heart will be shattered.
Kagome sees a faint speck of light within Naraku’s tentacles. It’s the light Kikyou left in Naraku’s Shikon no Tama. Kagome thinks that because of the effects of that light, Naraku shouldn’t be able to touch Kohaku’s shard. However, the tentatcles try to take the shard without getting purified. Inuyasha and Sango come running in and cut them. Magatsuhi: "Kikyou’s spell only works on Naraku… meaning that it does not work on me. When my corrupted shard and Naraku’s jewel become one… The light Kikyou left… will be blotted out by the darkness of Magatsuhi. We win." (And soon Kohaku’s heart… will shatter…)
Inside Kohaku’s heart: While Kohaku continues condemning himself for killing his father and companions, a light breaks in. At the head of that light is the figure of Sango nursing Miroku while bearing her own wounds. Kohaku: (I… injured Ane-ue again… Houshi-sama tried to save me as well… Ane-ue… Ane-ue must be in love with Houshi-sama…)
Sango: "Kohaku, help us." Kohaku is surprised by the sudden call. Sango: "Help us. This man… and me…" Kohaku: (Help you… me…?! I… can do that?) Sango: "You can do it, there’s still time, Kohaku…"
Kohaku awakens. His shard is erupting with light."
That's right Kohaku! There's still time! Don't die yet! _________________
there is so much stuf on the light: Kagome's missing soul peice, Kikyou died to do that and really that's all they mention her about now....just too much for RT to have it be beaten by some random enemy we met a month ago. _________________
yet I know she's going to do so. And then 50 chapters later magically Kikyou regains importance after being completly burried in the plot. She always flip flop. _________________

She's an important character, whether she's alive or dead.
But when did it say that Kagome didn't get her piece of soul back? Her quote in that chapter, something about it being "warm", could indicate that she had gotten it back. _________________
I meant more like, randomly she gets put into every single sentence like she was a few chapters ago. And suddenly despite everyone getting over her in record time, suddenly feelings for her come back. RT has a habit of flip-flopping to the extremes very quickly. Either Kikyou is important and seemingly behind everything, then she is buried so far down that it seems RT is trying to make it like she never existed....bac k and forth, all over again. _________________
Well, it looks like my four wishes idea won't come about after all.
I thought that since Sango made a wish, it would be logical for all four of our main characters to make a wish, because the Shikon no tama is the Jewel of FOUR souls...and that the "right wish" could actually be a combination of Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango all wishing something for the other person. Then, by all of them wishing something for each other, the jewel is purified and ceases to exist.
