Somehow, this needs to be addressed, though I'm not entirely sure why.
Inuyasha is shunned, feared, loathed... all because he is caught between two worlds, half human and half youkai. What's interesting about Inuyasha's particular hanyou condition is the fact that while he can be compared to the werewolf in the fact that he turns into what he and others of his disposition despise, the parallel is rather drawn through opposites.
Werewolf changes from human to monster at the full moon; Inuyasha turns into a human at the new moon.
Werewolf generally changes into a more dangerous and powerful creature; Inuyasha turns into something he and the youkai population deem weak and fragile.
Strange, he seems the exact opposite in the reasons that he's so like the werewolf. _________________

Or maybe it's because his mother was human, and her blood eclipses him at about the time of the month he was born.... It could also have something to do with her menstrual cycle too, given it's close resemblance to that. I donno... _________________

No one ever thinks these things through as much as the fans do. That's specifically our job. She can pass it off as something supernatural and you can bet we'll come up with some rule that makes sense to all of us, lol.
