if you were Kagome and you are in the love triangle....what would you do? Would you help Inu get over Kikyou and be happy ever after, or would you somehow have him and Kikyou reclaim what was wrongfully taken from them (via killing Inu/revive Kikyou/whatever)?

Me...i'd do the second (surprise surprise). Just that end with Kikyou dying and reminding Inu of their promise to eachother....I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't get them together. Guilt trip ahoy.

If it were me, I would assume that I had no ability to bring someone back from the dead, so of course I would not try to set them back up. Even the 'revived' Kikyou wasn't exactly alive, not in the sense that she had been before.

The sad fact is, is that people die, and there's nothing you can do about it. It's a tragic love lost, but that doesn't mean Inuyasha doesn't deserve to live on, live a happy life. It also doesn't mean that Kagome doesn't deserve to live happily with Inuyasha. It's not like she was jealous of Kikyou and killed her so she could have Inuyasha all to herself. She unwittingly fell for Inuyasha, and had nothing to do with Kikyou. It's not her fault.

In the same train though, Kikyou didn't deserve to die and be separated from her love, but that's what happened. Just because a tragedy happened to her doesn't mean a tragedy should happen to anyone else involved.

Finally....there are much more important things than boyfriends. If Kikyou was dead, then we can assume that she had gone on to a spiritual existence. Assuming a Buddhist/Karmic perspective, she would have been justly rewarded for her goodness, and had a happy existence. If I were to die right now, I wouldn't want to haunt my husband and any woman who might fall in love with him. I'd want to let him move on and continue to live, because I love him. A true, selfless love always puts the other person first. If I'm dead, then I certainly have better things to do than worry about if I was gipped in my love life.

Kagome loves Inuyasha, and she always put him first by doing things she didn't necessarily want to do, like save Kikyou from the shouki, let Inuyasha go to her when she was around, etc....

If I lose my husband, he fully expects me to eventually move on and love again. If I die, I fully expect him to move on and love again. (And yes, we've talked about this.) Just because I die, it doesn't mean that he has to die to be with me. I want him to live a full happy life no matter what, because I love him. If Kikyou truly loves Inuyasha, she'd want him to live a full happy life as well.
