I just thought of this. We know naraku was in love with her at one point and at his last breath....he realizes that his lust for the jewel's power (because he hates himself) corrupted him (let's just say Magawhoever becomes the real last villian) and he sorta turns good at the end. then him and Kikyou end up as a couple at the very end.

Nah. Number one, Naraku wasn't in love with anyone; Onigumo was in lust for Kikyou, and that was pretty much it. Number two, Onigumo was evil long before he lusted after the power of the jewel. He just enjoyed killing, raping, and pillaging; it was what he did for a living and he seemed to enjoy his work.

I don't think there's any redemption in order for Naraku at any time in the future.
