I personally think that Obama is a WAY better candidate in terms of ethics than Clinton, but Clinton has been in the White House before, so she definitely knows the politics game.

I think Clinton's universal health care plan is stupid and would ruin the American health system. It's a noble ideal to give health care to everyone, but in countries that have such a thing, their medical systems SUCK. People will come all the way to my mother-in-law's office in SC from Canada just to go to the doctor. Going to the doctor on your vacation, because there are so few available doctors there.
Again, it's a noble ideal, but not very practical. Health care is expensive, and if it's not expensive, then it's not very good health care. Why the hell would anyone put themselves through nearly 14 years of torment in medical school and residency if they didn't get paid well? Not very many would. _________________ It's just four more miles. Everybody smile!

Hence, why the reason most American doctors are studying overseas. XD And the reason why some Americans are going out of country to get CAT scans and such?
Also, the "great General MacArthur" basically bribed to give America their "l33t" healthcare so quickly. Ever wonder just how the US got their chemical weapons so fast? Well...

I agree with Kim on the idea that "expensive healthcare isn't good healthcare" is capitalist propaganda, but Jade has a point; usually, universal healthcare is either not good because doctors aren't being paid enough, or you have a socialist setting where there's a seventy-percent income tax and while the healthcare is just fine, people are still complaining because they lose more than half their income to it.
So, it's not JUST capitalist propaganda. Is it propaganda if that's ALREADY what we value as a nation? They're basically just telling us what we want to hear at this point. The only thing we could possibly do to establish universal healthcare is if we change our entire VALUE system, and it's much more difficult to do that than most think.
