I personally think RT just pissed all over Sango's character. She was so cool and the one better than all the guys and now she's just a pathetic weakling that is boarderline "please bang me every night oh great pervert Miroku because I'm your property and I can't do anything by myself." I can't stand this women are weak stereotype damsel in distress crap that keeps getting pulled. She's turned the femenistic amazon into a Mary Sue. _________________

I don't believe that, personally. By saying she wants to be with Miroku, she's not saying that she's going to let him walk all over her. As of now, she's willing to kill someone else to make sure he lives, which is a rather selfish and stupid act, but is not in any way an action to assume that she is completely gone without Miroku.
I think the only thing to support your theory of Sango's dependence on the men in her life (Miroku and Kohaku) is the fact that she feels so strongly for the both of them. But... in her expression of that feeling.... she's very limited. Usually she reacts with anger, and very rarely cries, which is typically a male-societal limitation. And if you're speaking of this expression of emotional dependence, she's ALWAYS been that way. _________________
I personally agree with Lys on her take on Sango. Sure, Sango is extremely strong and a bit rash at times, but her emotions and willingness to borderline on crazy suicide when it comes to the people she truly loves.
But yeah, Sango was MOAR badass in the beginning. _________________
Yeah....but it's really something to worry about IMO when I want Sango to shut up more than kagome. Kagome actually grew balls (metephorically) the last few chapters (though we still have a few corny lines) and Sango became my "shut the hell up and die" character.
I think Sango's still great. She's been unconscious because she gave Rin her mask. I don't think that makes her suddenly incapable of fighting without a man...except for the tiny fact that she is unconscious.
Besides, is there anything wrong with a strong woman wanting a man? I mean, being in charge of things is great, but sometimes, you just want someone to rescue you, you're tired of doing it for yourself all the time. I meant before the whole not able to do anything via technicallity. Sango was saying some really.....really pathetically "I'm hopeless" lines.
And no, there is nothing wrong with a strong woman wanting someone....but being so wimpy about it? She turned TOTALLY EMO.
Inuyasha doing that is fine (since he does it 20 times a year)....but Sango....just no. It's liek Godzilla running away from the army instead of shooting atomic beams at em.....which is one reason why USA Godzilla sucked. _________________
Well, look at it like the pressure of the moment. All this time, going after Naraku, and she finally has taken enough punishment to finally wear her down. It took a lot of torture to get her to that place, so she's still strong in my eyes.
I understand what you're saying, I just don't think it's all that bad. I think it's actually sort of realistic, that she cracks just a little under pressure.
