I mean...if he'sthe evil of the jewel like they say....shouldn't he be something more than a side villian? Shouldn't he be the big baddy that kills naraku and ends up as the final boss?
Also...it seems odd that he comes out now. I think he was escaping and was shoved out. He can't combat whatever Kikyou did with the jewel (if you think about it Midoriko + Kikyou vs him)
But if he dies soon...well that makes the entire shikon no tama look weak. The ultimate evil of the jewel gets owned so quickly? So everyone in the manga is more powerful than the shikon no tama?
And also, with him out, shouldn't the jewel be more light again? I mean all that's left is Naraku but Kikyou's trick weakens him...add in Midoriko...and it should at least be half and half again. _________________

I would think that if the Magatsuhi that's out running around in Naraku's flesh is killed here, that should purify the jewel. Without Magatsuhi, the jewel only has the good part and can no longer grant demon-like qualities to those who want them.
That would be really strange though, considering it's a way to destroy the jewel that no one has mentioned yet, at least to my knowledge.
In that case, I've just decided I want to see it happen, just for something unexpected to occur. _________________
My question is will Magatsuhi become a main villain like Naraku or is he going to be just like other past villains who get killed? I would think he becomes a main villain since he's the evil side of the jewel,but wouldn't RT be complicating the story even more if she makes this guy the final boss. We have had Naraku for over 500 chapters as the main villain.
If Magatushi does die it doesn't make the Shikon jewel weaker, Vrap. The jewel will probably just be more pure/good instead of evil.

Both Magatsuhi and Naraku at once? Sounds like something out of my deepest, darkest nightmares, and not only because they are two very frightening individuals.
If Magatsuhi does become the main villian in the story, Naraku will either have to be a) absorbed by him, or b) (unlikely) forced to work with Inuyasha and crew to destroy him.
How would "b" be for a plot twist? "Never saw that one coming from a mile away" people would say. _________________
or c: Kikyou comes shooting out of the jewel in a super form, restors the world, kills the villians and splits Inuyasha into 2 identical Inuyashas....one for her and one for Kagome. Now everyone is happy!

Yeah, I don't think anyone would be expecting that one either. Let's just hope that ending doesn't come to pass; I think it would give me a headache from fanservice overload. _________________

Now THAT one sounds more likely at this point, but you never really know when it comes to Kikyou in this Manga. Kagome seems pretty bent on making her the center of her thoughts nowadays. _________________

Personally, I'm not asking her to. She was a great character, and in a way, I was sorry to see her go. On the other hand, she fought the good fight and left the bow in Kagome's hands. If you think about it, that is a good symbol when it comes to passing the torch: "I've moved on, and you can carry on in my place."
