great a month into work and I'm already stuckGot a bit of a problem. My best friend, who also worked at the same place I did just got fired after a few weeks. I got work tommarrow. I know my boss is gonna say something. I'm afraid I'll be fired via assossiation. I'm not gonna say anything or something that could affect my possition but I know my boss is very reactionary and attempting to avoid the issue will set her off as well. What the fuck do I do?

Not bringing it up is, in my opinion, not avoiding the issue. It's being respectful of the decision made. Now, if she begins talking to you about it, I would speak honestly. Of course, being honest has gotten me into trouble a few times, so don't go on just what I say.

Did your friend do something bad, or break the rules or something? In other words, was it a 'just' or an 'unjust' firing?

I think he left the safe open or it didn't close properly or something along those lines.

Oh yeah, that can be a big deal. But, accidents happen, and if there was nothing stolen, and I was the boss, I'd keep the person on because I'll know that they had learned from the mistake and would probably never do it again. But sometimes businesses have a policy about stuff like that. Yeah, you shouldn't have anything to do with that, if your job was endangered by 'guilty by association', then I'd look for another job if I were you.
