If you could rewrite Inuyasha, what would you do?Got this topic off of GameFAQs message boards (wow....220 pages of people like me saying kill kagome. I'm not alone bitches!.....that was uncalled for...I'm sorry.  ) funny thing is, there were so many responces saying that any fan coukld rewrite Inuyasha and it would be better than what RT has given us. So I figured let's see.
Anyways.....me:
1) Naraku died a long time ago, we now at least have one new villian
2) No Kouga, Shippo, Miyouga, Jaken
3) Actually do something with Hojo/Kagome. have him go through the well
4) Obvious Inu/Kikyou
5) No fillers. I don't care if it's much shorter. Quality over quantity
6) less trips back to real time to take a freaking school test. Those are just distractions to the plot.
7) Make Kagome much less.....dependant on Inu. really....all she does is get captured than get a luck shot off. Let's have her actually do something. She should at least have a new technique now with the bow upgrade.

Figured this went better here. *Move-ed!*
If I were to rewrite this mess, I would have made it so that Kagome's trips to the Sengoku Jidai had a little more common sense to them. She either only goes there about once a month, or she can't go home. None of this nobody-in-her-family-seems-to-care-she's-risking-her-life-and-making-
excuses-so-lame-that-a-five-year-old-could-figure-them-out plot holes. Her school should have figured out there's something wrong by now.
Second thing, I would have had everyone come up with a collaborative plan to draw out Naraku ages ago, instead of Naraku CONSTANTLY drawing THEM in to his little traps. Have some tactical brains here and quit falling for it, already!
That's all I can think of for now.

I seriously wouldn't change anything...because it's not my story. I may not like certain things about it, but it belongs to RT and her heart. Same for all great stories...yeah, it sucks that Dumbledore died, but that's how JK envisioned it.
RT must be doing something right though, so I won't bemoan her a few slip-ups here and there. And since I'm a hopeless romantic, I just can't help but like her story the way it is.

JK stated she just puts death in for the hell of it though just to make the story more mature. She doesn't have any real....purpose if you will with it. She just did it so it wasn't a kid's book only. Dumbledore doesn't really count IMO.

I would personally like to know where you got that information. Interview quotes, magazine sources, something. I'm not inclined to believe that's actually true.

It was an interview around the 4th book's release. I don't even know where it was.
if worst comes to worst....there is likly a criticism section in her wikipedia entry. Every person on Wiki has a "criticism of ____" section.

yeah, but the thing with wikipedia is that people can modify the information on there, no matter who they are, or what the topic is.

yeah, but in a few days if the information is incorrect, it'll just change back to the normal thing it said before the person changed it.
