mom in car crashgeez....there are some bad drivers out there and my mom got hit by the one that doesn't turn on a road that bends 90 degrees.

My mom is hurting but nothing is broken that we know of. She's on pain meds. I'm actually gonna be driving her to her doctor in a few minutes.

Advice? Sue before the other person has the chance to do so, because in the end, you KNOW that even though this other woman was not hurt, she's probably going to try and bring up charges about damages to her SUV or something.

I concur. The witch that hit me a few years ago....SHE ran into ME and then SHE sued my insurance company to get her car replaced.
In my crash, the EMT guy said that if it had been an SUV that hit me instead of a car, I would have been dead on the spot, because the impact would have been on my head instead of my hip.
I HATE SUVs and I don't care if I offend anyone that drives one. Unless you are hauling band equipment or horses or lumber...you don't need that big of a vehicle. If you're a soccer mom, drive a van, it fits more people.

It was probably a giant scam in your case anyway, jade.
I despise SUVs as well, and people driving around huge vehicles that they don't need. They use tons of gas and don't even get good mileage. Stupid SUVs....
Basically, it's a status thing. They try to impress people with their consumption.... "Look at me! I can afford to run this piece of crap every day! And the only reason I do it is because this car looked so cool on the television! Everybody knows this SUV is the new 'in' thing!"
And then, the car companies have to stay on top of the fad wagon, so once everyone has purchased their SUV for a status symbol alone (everybody has it, therefore it's not a sign of stratification anymore, everyone's the same), they come out with a new car to top that one, so evryone who has the means can go out and buy it and feel on top of the heap again. Never-ending cycle.

nope...PT Cruiser tops it in ugliness IMO. Same with those "box" ones. Sorry but customizability doesn't take away the fact that it looks liek a soap bar.
