I watched some of it. I was proud of him...at one point he correctly pronounced "nuclear". But then he went right back to nu-ku-lar.
It's politics. I liked some things he said, I disliked others. I usually try to stay away from politics. Hating on Bush won't fix anything, just like hating on, well, any other politician won't fix anything. |

I'll tell you one thing though, it's not just Bush who's making the economy go downhill. Capitalism is practically designed as a crash-and-burn strategy. As long as you can keep expanding and growing, capitalism can survive... unfortunately, Bush continues to fail to realize that our RESOURCES ARE FINITE!
Pretty soon everyone who wants to jump-start the economy (not just Bush) is going to be beating a dead horse.

I wouldn't be surprised if they invaded China for the pure sheer fun of it. After all, the US DOES have one of the highest military budgets in the world (they spend 10 TEN times much as China's PLA) not to mention those constant training excerizes with Japan as "allies" and China as the "enemy". Very nice, eh? Problem is... China's military is FUXXIN' HEUG! LEIK XBOX! They are continuing to develop in many aspects (country, not army) and yet, human rights groups based in the US are constantly criticizing them like they are the devil's living place. Well... As many people say, "Everything takes time." I sure as hell would love to travel to China to see it for myself. They certianly have gone past that "Maoist Red Gaurd" crap of theirs back then... In fact, most Chinese love the US and their people. US still has the old Cold War attitude and ignorant arrogance that pisses me off. All simply because they "won" the Cold War, suddenly gives them the right to butt in and barrel down in China's ass? And the world as well? What the fuck?! Look at this. I don't like it any more than you do, Kim. Personally, I want to hear the TRUTH from my politicians, but they never want to give it to me. I want to sit down, have a discussion with these people and try to understand their ideas instead of voting for someone who most closely resembles my ideas, but I have to vote for the "lesser of evils". Finally, I want to tell my politicians that no matter what the right-wing fundamentalists say, they don't have to be perfect. They don't have to be more than human to run for office, but they do have to understand they are making a decision for millions upon millions, and their responsibility and maturity is key in running in office.
No more of this mudslinging shit, no more saying this person did that.... We, as their bosses, should take the responsibility to communicate with our politicians about their ideas. Unfortunately, the government's so big, and the communication is so scarce (hence, why the government loses so much of our tax dollars every year) that I'm not sure that's going to be possible anymore. I'm afraid the only thing left to do, if communication is not an option anymore, is to let it crash and burn. |
