I tend to read little known books. ^^; Yeah, go me. Well this one inpaticular is just your basic new girl popularity problems with a few interesting twists, involving an eccentric love interest with a lazy eye, a candy-obsessed best friend, and an old lady who tells stories about golden snakes and giant girls. It really is interesting, once you get past a little disturbing mature content (Not that mature, I'm just sensitive. ).

Your friend was kind of right, since the candy-obsessed friend tells a few stories involving candy that go a tad past the line of comfort, whether it be gore or... y'know, but once you get past those then it's funny and entertaining.
