Kagome passes a test in her time to get into highschool then returns to the past.
Naraku reforms with the jewel. And a bunch of talk about the completly obviuous (Kikyou's light no longer in jewel, final battle approaching, Kohaku is alive again)
The full spoiler shows Byakuya is still alive and hiding out with Naraku. Any surprises there?
Kagome now faces a difficult choice for the ending. By passing her high school exams, she now potentially has a future in the present. Does she choose to stay in the present at the end of it all, stay in the past, or will the well stay open and let her continue to exist between the two? I think that passing her exams was very important to the end of the story. If she failed, it would be an easy choice to stay in the past.
And remember, RT always does this after several tense weeks. She has to have a mundane filler chapter to give herself a break. _________________ It's just four more miles. Everybody smile!

What did I say? This entrance exam was what Takahashi was waiting for; it determines everything.
I don't think this is a worthless chapter... although, it seems kind of strange to me that it would take Sesshoumaru so long to find Rin. I would have thought he'd be all over Naraku by the time Kohaku was resurrected.... whatever. _________________
OK...I take back what I said about the chapter being worthless. Only like 2 pages were about the stupid test. We have hinting at Naraku vs evil jewel guy, hinting at Kagome ending up with the guy who has a crush on her in school, emo-Inu Kikyou stuff (though I hate it when they restate the obvious and go "I'll kill ____ for you". hate that cliche." ACTUALLY A GOOD FILLER _________________
OMG "hinting"???? How is Kagome and Hojo staying friends hinting at them being together? She's never liked him, not that way. She sees him as a friend. As in...the dreaded "let's be friends speech."
And I think emo is too strong a word for what Inuyasha was saying. Let's look at his facial expressions and see, but I'm thinking that he's sad...but not drowning in a well of despair that makes me think emo.
Magatsuhi can no longer fit into the jewel because Naraku has filled it with his darkness, and he's going to start his transformation all over. Interesting. _________________ It's just four more miles. Everybody smile!
emo was the best word I got for that one. I just like the phrase emo Inu.
As for Hojo....it seems a lot more important to do something about him when all this emotion and choices are coming together. I mean he is the random gag clueless one but having him now....it seems more important to something. _________________

It didn't seem that much more than the last running joke to me.
I wonder what Magatsuhi is going to do now? And it looked almost as though while Naraku was transforming with the jewel he was devouring Rin and Byakuya in the process. I sure hope not. Everyone on the west side of fandom would be PISSED.
