Or, how about, Inuyasha really has gotten over her, as far as accepting her death? Basically for the last 500 chapters she has been dead, and his feelings for her, while genuine, were also tainted with guilt. That's just the way I see it. When my grandpa passed away, he had been sick for seven years and did not have his mind for the past six. When he died...we were all sad, but also happy for him that he was free from the prison of the disease. That would make perfect sense of how Inuyasha was able to let Kikyou go.

eh...OK. I still say Inu got over it way too quickly though. He's thought she "died" again and it took him a lot longer and kept searching for her that time. I'm just saying it doesn't fit the mourning times of Inuyasha. He was miraculously shorter in time span this time. The entire arc was about him wanting to die to be with her, saying he was suppossed to protect her and failes (hence guilt again) and all that jazz. Inu even avoided Kagome's question about how if what Kaou said was true (and has yet to answer it). Heck, the arc even ended with kagome saying "Inuyasha is the one hurt the most." And then the next time we see them he is perfectly fine. Now.....isn't that missing a transition period?

And I still say that we could still be going through the transition period, and we're just not seeing it because emo Sesshoumaru keeps taking up the spotlight.

An idea just hit: what if this IS Inuyasha's guilt about Kikyou coming forward? I mean, Inuyasha wasn't this into his brother's life/death before, not until Kikyou died. Perhaps this brotherly love he's suddenly feeling is out of guilt because he feels he let Kikyou down, and can't let anyone else go through the same fate because of him.

That could be true. I mean it does kinda make sense. But then again, IY has the tough guy act going on. Look at how he says he hates Koga (in the first half of the series) but saves him countless times?

well...I can still hope that either Inu dies (and Kagome tells Sesshy to not revive him), they stay in seperate times, or Kikyou comes back for the millionth time.

I don't like the idea of Kikyou coming back for her own sake. We all know that this was all a lot more than a picnic in a park for her, so bringing her back wouldn't be too nice.

But if you bring her back without the whole soul sucking which keeps her clay body intact then she won't have a body or she'll have someone elses body.
