Kikyou...decided to transfer all that light out of the jewel and shard and instead...transfer it into Kohaku. She is now speaking through him. She possessed dead Kohaku.
Even I didn't take this possibility seriously. I don't know wether to be amazed or scared. _________________

But seriously, Kikyou's light is obviously not conscious, but the conscious force controlling it IS Kikyou. That's how I understood it. _________________
Though does this mean Kikyou is now inside Kohaku for good? And really, you had the light in the jewel to kill Naraku but Kikyou decides to take it out? What a cheap way to
a) get rid of teh light
b) save Kohaku 3 seconds after dieing
I'm a huge Kikyou fan but even I find this stupid. _________________

You're caught up in your own theory, VRap, and you need to rethink your definition of the light. Like I said before, the light isn't KIKYOU, it's her WILL. There is a difference there. Basically, it's an intention that Kikyou is controlling, but it doesn't necessarily have to BE her.
Although David Hume would inevitably say that her will and her action in using it IS her, we can ignore him since we're not discussing philosophy. _________________
but...Kikyou died off for good. The only part left of her was the peiuce of Kagome she took. So that has to be the only thing to control teh will....and that soul never went back into kagome so you could say the soul peice is the light. Oh well....now I think we are thinking this too far. I think RT forgot about that soul peice anyway. She's a female Jack Sparrow; just makes it up as she goes along and hopes it all works out. _________________
Vrap, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kikyou is in HEAVEN!!! Her balls of light went to heaven when her chia body died. I'm interpreting the light as being her *will*, a power that she was able to leave behind.
The best part about this resurrection is now Kikyou is out of the picture for purifying the jewel. It's really up to Kagome now, she doesn't have to have Kikyou's shadow looming over her.
It was a lame way to resurrect Kohaku, but at least Takahashi killed two birds with one stone...or resurrected two birds as it were. _________________ It's just four more miles. Everybody smile!
it was also a lame way to get the light in the jewel. Also....I think having Kikyou in 3 seconds ressurect someone you failed to save is a bit more of a punch in the gut than having help.
Also.....a will? If it was just some spell Kikyou put in before she died, it wouldn't be able to change it's mind. Kikyou, herself would have to change the plan, hence the light was in fact Kikyou, not just a spell.
