Kaou...good villian or cop-out fanservice?

What was Kaou (flower guy who drained sorrows)
cop-out who's only purpose was to phase out Inu's feelings so RT could rush kagome in as fast as possible and shove Kikyou out of the way by draining his sorrows, thus being one of the worst types of fanservices ever?

A very good villian who had a great emotional impact on the story and has absolutly nothing to do with the suden 180 Inu pulled and it's just bad rushing by RT to have the manga come to an end.

not sure...and note that the two above are the most extreme possibilities and just really generalizing. Not meant to be taken 100% litterally.

That's right....the harvester of Sorrow himself (bad Metallica joke). Not gonna go over the whole little arguement or anything. it'll be in the poll options.

Hmm, yeah there should be a third option. I think he was a useless and annoying thing that had a bloddy eyes fetish.

I voted #3. I just don't think that Inuyasha's gotten over Kikyou yet. In fact, I don't think he EVER will. We never really get over our first loves, you know.

And, like I said, Inuyasha was NEVER good at expressing his feelings, and I think that his feelings about Kikyou's death and his guilt regarding that is to be no exception.

I'm just gonna go with 1 since the whole "getting rid of your sorrows" thing. that is just too convieniant. After everything Inu always went through and always clinging on for 450+ chapters.....to suddenly seem really OK with it (even if he isn't over it)...is just way too blatent. I'd be saying the same thing if it was the other way around too. Just seems like a cheap way to end the triangle and fanservice it off to the highest percentage. Least she could have done was slowly desolve it instead of just up and getting rid of Inu's feelings in a chapter.
