I've had a lot of time to think this over, since it's been a little while since this board was up before. I've decided I'm sticking to what I said before, when an incident here tore everyone apart.
There will be no tolerance for sexual harrassment or racial slurs. You will be banned immediately, no questions asked.
Other forms of disrespect can be misinterpreted, and thereby mishandled. Sometimes bad-talk can seem like abuse, but in reality it is simply a joke between friends.
In this light, if YOU are being abused by another member, it is YOU who needs to bring the problem to an administrator or a moderator. No one else should come to your aid, because that leads to misunderstandings.
If a member is harrassing another member, they are to be let off with a warning first, and must write an apology private message to the member they offended within three days. If the abuser refuses to send the apology message, they are banned from the board.
If the member commits a second offense, they are suspended from the board for a month, and when they return, they must send the apology private message within three days. If they refuse, they will be banned permenently.
If the abuser commits a third offense, they are automatically banned. No exceptions.
Remember, false accusations are a form of abuse as well, so I advise you not to do it, lest you find yourself within the very situation you wanted to push on another person.
Also, try not to commit acts of revenge. That may always be misconstrued as abuse as well, and if I miss something that you thought was wrong, please tell me instead of taking the problem into your own hands.
