why do so many mangas have these half cat half female characters? And why do we love those characters so much?

In fact I actually had a dream about one last night......not that type of dream. Mind out of the gutter!

The people who create manga just like to put cat girls in there because they think that they look sexy and will drive male teenagers to read it.
